John grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio as one of 11 children. He arrived in Toledo in 1971 to attend the University of Toledo where he received his bachelor’s degree in education. He was a stand-out wide receiver for the Rockets football team and today is a proud member of the UT Sports Hall of Fame. After graduation, John remained in Toledo as an active member of the community and has served as a board member of The Easter Seals Society of NW Ohio, Maumee Valley Broadcasting Corp, The Sylvania Athletic Foundation, The UT Varsity T Club, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Over the years, John has also shared his passion for helping others as a football coach at Cardinal Stritch High School, McCord Jr. High, Sylvania Northview and Southview High Schools. As the founder of Integrated Financial Resources in 1985, John began working with individuals, families, and business owners with the same commitment to teamwork and excellence that has become his personal trademark. John assists clients in setting realistic financial goals and then develop actionable plans to achieve them.
For over 35 years, John has pursued the education and accreditations required to offer a variety of practical insurance and timely financial instruments to serve the needs of his clients. As the IFR team continues to grow, the mission remains the same…”meet clients where they are, and then move them toward their financial goals!” John is a recognized speaker on financial planning and lives in Sylvania with his wife of 45 years, Susan. They have two children who also reside in the Toledo area.

During his time with TIAA, Matt was a Retirement Consultant and Wealth Management specialist and gained his Series 7 and 63 SEC registration licenses as well as his Life and Health insurance designations.
Following a year as a financial planner with Creative Financial Partners, Matt joined Integrated Financial Resources where he loves to hep people properly structure and achieve their financial goals.
